Snapshot Qatar National Day 2013

On the occasion of Qatar’s National Day, I would like to shared some snapshot what’s going on throughout the holiday from Doha News

The Emir & Father Emir continued greetings on the Corniche for several minutes, walking up toward Al Bidda Park, before getting back in their vehicles and now exiting the parade grounds

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has arrived at the Qatar National Day Parade for the first time as the Emir of Qatar.

The parade begins with a recitation from the Quran – Surah Al-Rahman – which bears the refrain “Then which of your Lord’s blessings would you deny?”

Jets paint Doha’s skies

Dhows on display, and the “2030 train” — visitors to the Cornice this afternoon will be able to take the traditional wooden boats between various stations there, while children are offered tours in the train.
